It's easy to unwind in the elegant media room of this Hamptons waterfront retreat.

In this high contrast space, designer Shawn Henderson achieves a balance between the dark and colorfully moody wall/sofa color, and the lighter off-white components that is both striking and soothing.

Henderson uses soft textural elements to add some cozy depth while a linear rigidity draws the eye upwards and across the room allowing one to really take in the entire space.

This is the kind of room that indulges the senses and makes you want to touch everything - to feel the contrast of solid and soft - and to get lost in the wind blowing through the branches outside of the windows.

If I had the perfect adult tree house, this would be it!

The carpet, design number 16058B from our Ingrain Collection, has a sort of natural vibe that is both texturally interesting, and incredibly durable - ready for whatever life brings it's way.

Loving on this space? Here's a closer look at the carpet that grounds it. Upon inspection one can see how the weave itself creates interest that is both intriguing and tough.

This fun bedroom by Fox Nahem Associates uses varying textures and circular forms to create a playfully layered space - the thick knit throw blanket playing off of the bubbly stool, the hand crocheted headboard adornments by Tammy Kanat texturally pairing with the hooked carpet. A circular vase sits atop a round mirrored side table to reflect all of these circles in obscure ways.

Unironically, this well rounded room is grounded by the colorful circles of design number 1174F from our American Hooked Rug Collection.

The 1174 series spins the circle into different vibes by playing with color combination and rigidity of form. It goes from playful, to sophisticated, to calming, to strong and serious. Have a look at some of the other variations on the design.

The naturally rustic vibe of raw wood beams pairs nicely with the casual feel of design number 1040 from our American Hooked Rug Collection in this bedroom by Haver Skolnick Architects.

The red floral elements of the rug compliments the red plaid fabrics without overpowering the space, and the ivory ground color adds a brightness that plays with the sunlight pouring through the windows.

Everyone's got their own unique style, and their own unique space to work with.  Sometimes it's a space that's very small - and sometimes we just want the perfect fit.  With a custom carpet, you can have just that!

In this tiny NYC apartment, the client wanted their carpet to be perfectly framed within the outlined area of the preexisting wood flooring.

The repetitive offset square pattern of design number 1010 from our American Hooked Rug Collection pairs perfectly with the rigid geometry built into the floor, which creates it's own framing for, and draws the eye inwards towards, the carpet.

The result is a small yet open space that is light, and airy, and incredibly comfortable.

There's a strength that comes with the use of black and red - a sort of statement that says, "I'm here, and I'm ready".

In this bold yet airy entry way, designer Patrick Printy uses the graphic nature of black and red to draw the eye towards individual statement pieces. The colors of the Navajo rug play perfectly with the Asian art on the walls, creating a sort of tension through conversation.

Design number 10010 from our Navajo - Four Corners Collection offers the perfect balance of light, dark, and saturated color for this intense, yet open space.

The rigidity of the jagged edges of the design adds a sense of motion to this energetic layout - keeping the eye in constant motion.

"Color became its own spatial framework in this Manhattan apartment, with designer Ryan Lawson channeling Carlo Scarp in a series of vibrant interventions. 'James and Steven seemed up for a different formula,' the designer reflects on the idiosyncratic palette, which eschews white walls in favor of a shade he calls "cream of mushroom soup". Against that neutral backdrop, bold splashes offer visual anchors. Counterintuitively, Lawson explains, these bold gestures offer moments of rest. "It frees your eye from having to look at small things.""
